Authorial Thesis

Become. Belong. Choose.

Status and Authority

Project Darkfire is autobiographical at its foundation. The trilogy transforms its creator's life, disability, struggles, exclusion, and experience of becoming something other people did not know was possible. The cosmology is fictional; the emotional causality is not.

This is not a demand for a one-to-one memoir. The documentation must not invent private biographical facts, assign a literal real-life counterpart to every character, or turn the creator's disability into promotional trivia. This document owns the trilogy's authorial and emotional intent. Design Philosophy owns the governing design rules, and the Story Bible owns the private narrative foundation. If those owners appear to conflict with this thesis, do not silently harmonize them: surface the conflict and protect the human throughline.

The project is not fundamentally about accumulating enough power to receive the title of God. It is about a person whom the world classified as limited discovering that the classifications themselves were inadequate.

The person was always real. The world's definition of what was possible was incomplete.

Certainty, Limits, and Revelation

The central question is how much people assume, how little they understand, and how completely they believe they understand it. This includes the player's own assumptions. Personal change is part of the experience, but change alone does not describe the thesis: the player reveals possibilities that the world's explanations had excluded.

Within the fiction, being God makes the unknown undeniable. The player's existence exceeds the systems that claim to explain and contain it. Becoming God exposes the gap between reality and the model of reality, including the authority that claimed to define the player's limits. Imposed limits can be broken; their apparent inevitability was manufactured. This does not make every physical constraint imaginary or remove the consequences of acting within the world.

Revelation should make earlier experiences newly intelligible while exposing assumptions the player did not know they held. It must not end by replacing one supposedly complete worldview with another. Even complete information within a system does not establish that the system contains everything that exists. The unknown remains possible beyond its account.

The poetic proposition that imperfection is perfection expresses the value of openness: an incomplete understanding leaves room for discovery and possibilities its current categories cannot anticipate. It is not a claim that ignorance is preferable to knowledge, that disability is a defect, or that the game's earned perfection is automatically a mistake. The player must remain free to judge what completeness and limitation mean.

Approved Trilogy Framing

Project Darkfire

Become what they said you couldn't.

About: An outcast discovers that the world's categories, and ultimately its gods, were never capable of defining their potential.

Project Darkfire II

Two worlds. Two Gods. One future.

About: Two equally real versions of God discover one another, fall in love, and must learn whether two truths can become one without either being erased.

Project Darkfire III

When you can become anything, what should you become?

About: Having finally earned perfection, God must decide what death, individuality, divinity, sacrifice, and ultimately existence itself should mean.

The trilogy beneath those descriptions is:

Game Verb Three-word summary Human question
Project Darkfire Become Defy imposed limits. Can I become more than the identity and limitations imposed on me?
Project Darkfire II Belong Belong without erasure. Can I be fully known and loved without being reduced, corrected, absorbed, or erased?
Project Darkfire III Choose Define your existence. Once I possess genuine freedom, what do I want existence and myself to become?

The three-word summaries complement the existing taglines. Become, Belong, and Choose are the thematic progression; character, theme, and gameplay are the development pillars used to realise it.

The progression is not power, greater power, greatest power. It is the right to possibility, the right to relationship without erasure, and the responsibility of self-definition.

Become

Game I is the struggle for possibility.

God is born into a world organized around categories: human, angel, demon; pure, corrupted; faithful, secular; chosen, unchosen; divine, mortal. Every group has a framework for explaining the player, and every framework sees a part while mistaking that part for the whole. The tribrid does not fit because the categories are inadequate, not because the person is wrong.

Becoming God must never collapse into becoming normal, being cured, receiving external permission, or proving worth through domination. Power makes the world's error impossible to ignore; it does not create the player's worth. The person from Eden was real before the pilgrimage, before self-belief, before continental flight, before complete information, and before any ending used the word God.

God is not a throne awarded for outperforming everyone else. God is the name the world eventually gives to a possibility it was structurally incapable of imagining.

The first game's governing promise is:

I have the right to become something your understanding did not anticipate.

Belong

Game II asks what follows after existence has been proven: whether a person can belong without surrendering the self they fought to become.

Real God and True God are equally real. Neither is the original, correction, cure, superior version, counterfeit, missing half, teacher, patient, or upgrade material. Their shared origin does not entitle either to define the other. Love becomes meaningful only after recognition stops being mistaken for identity.

Their central question is not whether two powers can be combined. It is whether two complete truths can create a shared future without one truth becoming authoritative and the other becoming residue. Physical intimacy, parenthood, the two histories, River A's separate consent, terminal refusal, and 333 all test belonging without assimilation.

True God has direct experience of River B's foundational entry and uses that knowledge to identify a bounded possibility for River A, not to prescribe another person's sacrifice. River A authors the entry. Real God freely receives it and continues as Present God, retaining humanity, mortality, ordinary presence, and incomplete knowledge. True God's transcendence helps preserve a human condition no longer personally possessed, while Present God trusts evidence that cannot become certainty. This is belonging practiced before final integration.

333 is therefore neither romantic completion nor an uncomplicated reward. Present God and True God each confirm it after River A's entry. Union preserves both histories and both River inheritances while ending the separateness of two people who learned to love one another and of two parents their child knew individually. The loss matters because the relationship was real.

The second game's governing promise is:

I have the right to be loved as the person I became, not as a corrected or more convenient version of me.

Choose

Game III begins after imposed impossibility has been overcome and belonging has been found. No external category remains qualified to tell God what God should be.

The death crisis tests whether belonging can survive beyond God's own chosen union. 333 knows how complete people can integrate without declaring either false. It must learn how to preserve distinction without enforcing isolation and how to permit union without converting consent into jurisdiction. Earning 666 means governing those conditions without claiming ownership of the people affected.

Earned 666 creates freedom rather than answering it. Perfection can be a home, cage, responsibility, condition to relinquish, or another inadequate category. Remaining 666, returning to 3, finding a third state, choosing a vocation, and deciding what death becomes must retain visible benefits, costs, consent questions, and irreversible consequences without receiving a developer-authored moral grade.

The questions of death, individuality, communion, rebirth, sacrifice, divinity, parenthood, and continued existence are one question at different scales:

If nothing can define me against my will, how do I define myself?

The trilogy does not end by revealing that limitless capability automatically resolves identity. It gives the player the dignity and burden of the final verb: choose.

Disability, Limitation, and Worth

The story must not become a conventional overcoming-disability narrative in which greater capability retroactively makes a life valuable. It must also not treat limitation as an automatic moral lesson, purity, punishment, or inspirational device.

The number-theoretic deficiency of 3 means openness: a state that is not mathematically complete and therefore can continue becoming. It is not a synonym for disability, damaged personhood, low worth, or a body that needs correction. Production language must keep those meanings separate.

Likewise, choosing limitation in Game III is not automatically wisdom, and choosing capability is not automatically pride. A body, dependency, boundary, or finite life can carry value without the game prescribing it. Capability can create freedom and danger without becoming a measure of personhood.

The story's answer is not "you were secretly perfect all along." Its answer is stronger:

You were always real. Their model of you was incomplete.

Systemic Expression

The autobiographical thesis is carried through play, not attached as an explanatory speech. The major systems express compatible parts of it:

  • Representation preserves identity. A person, object, or place remains the same semantic reality when distance, observation, or available detail changes. A cheaper representation is not a lesser truth.
  • The world continues when unobserved. People and places do not become real only when a more powerful observer pays attention to them.
  • Crafting and Creation author possibilities. The player does not merely select predefined rewards; materials, construction, history, skill, and choice produce things the original catalog did not contain.
  • Control makes complexity usable. The player expresses purpose, timing, direction, and commitment while competent motor control performs routine anatomy and coordination. Mastery belongs to judgment and interaction, not to fighting the controller.
  • Combat makes agency physical. Bodies, distance, material, momentum, injury, commitment, and consequence replace abstract permission to act.
  • Absorption joins power to forced perspective. Growth can increase capability while making the cost and the destroyed future impossible to ignore.
  • Magic acts on the same reality. It cannot become colored damage detached from bodies, substances, construction, environment, and history.
  • The world learns rather than scales. Copying, preparation, and countermeasures require observed evidence, retained knowledge, communication, means, time, and an implemented response. The world can answer the player without reading them omnisciently.
  • Factions reveal the violence and utility of categories. Each interpretation can provide belonging, protection, knowledge, exclusion, projection, or control.
  • The human nature mediates without erasing. It lets incompatible architectures develop beyond installed ceilings; it is not the weak component waiting to be discarded.
  • The full-scale world refuses artificial reduction. Earth and fourteen Earth-sized circles share a deep terrain ancestry while becoming independently transformed, inhabited, and remembered places. The technical ambition supports a story about possibility, but size alone is not meaning. Every scale must retain causal and human density.

These are structural resonances, not a checklist of literal allegories. Do not force every technical mechanism to represent disability or every fictional event to decode into biography. The systems belong when they create the experience; explanatory symbolism that exists only in documentation does not.

Spectacle Must Return to the Person

Flight across fifteen Earth-sized surfaces, their shared ancestry and divergent histories, procedural creation, physics combat, magic, destruction, crafting, persistent simulation, Heaven, Hell, The Throne people call the Apex, the Nadir, 333, and 666 can attract attention. They cannot become the emotional subject by themselves.

The spectacle should not merely say:

Look how powerful God is.

It should reveal:

Look how inadequate the world's definition of this person was.

The strongest proof is systemic convergence: the same person, object, place, or decision passing through several systems without losing identity or history. A feature that can be removed without changing the trilogy's experience may still be technically impressive, but it is not yet fused to Project Darkfire.

Authorial Tests

Every major narrative, mechanical, technical, visual, audio, and marketing decision must answer these questions:

  1. Become: Does this let the player experience possibility and self-authorship, or does it merely increase power?
  2. Belong: Does this preserve relationship between complete people, or demand correction, assimilation, simplification, or erasure?
  3. Choose: Does the player make a consequential decision, or does framing, reward, or punishment reveal the developer-approved answer?
  4. Worth: Does the design preserve the person's reality before achievement, or imply that capability creates worth?
  5. Limitation: Does it distinguish limitation, dependency, embodiment, and mortality from inferiority?
  6. Categories: Does a label remain an incomplete model with consequences, or silently become the total truth of a person?
  7. Fusion: Do character, theme, and gameplay happen in the same act?
  8. Scale: Does spectacle return to the personal story, or bury it beneath quantity and technology?
  9. Privacy: Does the work preserve the autobiographical truth without inventing or exploiting private biographical detail?

If an element fails one of these tests, adding more lore, symbolism, content, or technology will not repair it. The causal and human failure must be solved directly.

Disclosure Boundary

The Game I tagline and About copy are approved spoiler-safe positioning. The Game II and Game III lines are approved franchise framing inside the private corpus, but their public use remains gated by the reveal plan because their premises expose Real God, Present God, True God, the two Rivers, the First Child, 333, and 666.

The autobiographical foundation is private authorial context unless the creator explicitly chooses to disclose it. Marketing may communicate the universal experience of being underestimated without turning disability or personal struggle into a campaign asset by assumption.
